Created from a photograph from my found photography collection. Found around 10 years ago, the real and honest beauty of the moment has stuck with me ever since. Are they lovers? An anniversary? A wedding? A staff party?
Whatever is happening it almost doesn't matter.
This t-shirt is part of a series, ‘You Have Been Here and These Things Remember You,’ wearable and useable art from my found photography collection. The name comes from a page in a 1930s photo album which I found in a small town in Colerado many years ago. The pages each had a line of typewriter written text at the bottom and this line stopped me in my tracks - it encompassed everything I felt about found photography.
I believe art should be everywhere, not always housed in a special building or only seen for a certain time. Thats why I'm releasing a collection of wearable art. By investing in them you'll be helping to fund my arts practice and allow me to curate more of my collection, and realise the projects which I have in the wings just waiting for the funding to make them happen.
